Infants Program
Our Infants program provides a nurturing, safe environment specifically designed for the youngest learners. During this critical period of development, we focus on:
- Physical Development: Supporting motor skill development through safe, supervised play and movement activities.
- Language & Literacy: Early language exposure through songs, reading, and responsive communication with caregivers.
- Cognitive Development: Exploring the world through sensory play and age-appropriate materials that encourage curiosity.
- Nurturing Care: Building secure, trusting relationships with consistent caregivers who respond to each child's needs.
Our low student-to-teacher ratios ensure that each infant receives the individualized attention they need during this formative stage.
2–3 years
Toddlers Program
Our Toddlers program uses a structured, research-based curriculum combined with age-appropriate materials and activities. We focus on:
- Social Skills: Learning to interact with peers, sharing, taking turns, and developing friendships.
- Structured Learning: Engaging activities that introduce foundational concepts including letters, numbers, colors, and shapes.
- Physical Development: Fine and gross motor skill development through play, music, and movement.
- Independence: Building confidence and self-help skills as toddlers grow more independent.
Our educators create a balance between guided learning activities and free play, allowing toddlers to explore at their own pace while building foundational academic skills.
3–4 years
Preschool Program
Our Preschool program emphasizes creative expression, self-discovery, and strong academic foundations. Students engage in:
- Creative Expression: Through language, art, music, and dramatic play, children learn to express themselves and think creatively.
- Academic Foundations: Expanded instruction in pre-academic skills, building confidence in reading, writing, and math readiness.
- Physical & Cognitive Development: Active play, structured exercises, and hands-on learning activities.
- Social-Emotional Skills: Problem-solving, emotional regulation, and collaborative learning experiences.
Preschool is where imagination meets learning, as children develop critical thinking skills and a confident foundation for future academic success.
4 years by September 1
State-Sponsored Pre-K Program
Our Pre-K program is State-Sponsored and follows the Douglas County school calendar. Led by two state-approved teachers per classroom, we provide:
- High Scope Curriculum: A research-based approach emphasizing active learning, child-initiated activities, and collaborative learning.
- Expert Instruction: Two state-certified teachers ensure individualized attention and specialized instruction for each child.
- School Readiness: Comprehensive preparation for kindergarten, including academic skills, social-emotional development, and self-regulation.
- Structured & Flexible: Follows Douglas County calendar while maintaining Bright Kids Academy's nurturing, play-based philosophy.
This program provides a seamless transition to elementary school while maintaining a joyful, developmentally appropriate learning environment where every child can thrive.
